A cambelt (also known as a timing belt) is a rubber belt that links the camshaft and the crankshaft.  On some models it also runs the water pump.  The part is made from a rubber based compound which deteriorates over time.  Should this fail it could cause catastrophic engine damage.

There are hundreds of different cambelts for all the car models we produce.  But that makes it even more important to get the right parts and fit them correctly.  So as not to cause any confusion, we charge one fixed price for the job in hand. (even if it ends up costing us more!)
